1. How long have you been in business?
We have been in the business of selling online since 2017. Before that we used to sell local products locally.
2. What makes you different from your competitors?
We deal with natural products made from resources available in our region. Our region is unique in that there are plenty of natural resources, yet the region is very poor and available resources are not utilised sustainably. We aim to make some positive difference in that. We source our raw materials from rural farmers.
3. Do you sell imported or ‘made in china’ products?
We do not sell imported or ‘made in china’ products. Our products are hand-made by local staff from local and natural resources.
4. From where do you operate?
We are located in a small yet beautiful town of Tura, in the state of Meghalaya in India.
1. What do you mean by ‘natural’ products?
By natural products, we mean products that have undergone only minimum processing. Most of our products are hand-made. Because they have no toxic chemicals and plastics, and they decompose or compostable, they are considered environment friendly.
2. What are loofah products?
Natural loofah is obtained from a vegetable sponge gourd. There are no added chemicals, plastics etc. This loofah was sourced from the rural areas in the North East India, where it is grown under organic conditions in traditional method of cultivation.
Being natural, the products may vary in colour, may bear some unevenness in shape and may even have a few blemishes. We have taken care that the product you received is of excellent quality. Also, being soft, the product may reach you in crumpled or untidy looking form. They are absolutely okay, and the will regain original shape once dipped in water.
3. What are bamboo and cane products?
Bamboo is regarded as one of the most sustainable plants on Earth. Bamboo has wide applications and products. There are hundreds of traditional products made of bamboo. These traditional products find application in our times too, whereas some products are made to suit our modern requirements.
Our bamboo and cane products are mostly baskets, bird houses, lamp shades, kitchen serving products etc. Bamboo products that are intended to last long are treated for insect attack with chemicals widely accepted for such uses.
4. Why do you sell T-shirts?
Our T shirts carry messages that promote sustainability and eco-friendliness. We believe it helps the wearer make a personal statement and help promote environment.
1. Is Hi Eco a well-known brand? Is it a registered brand ?
Hi Eco is a new brand, we have been using it for our online sales only. We created the brand to suit natural products that are eco-friendly. Hi Eco is a play with words 'hi' or 'hello' and 'ecology'.
'Hi Eco' is a registered trademark.
1. What payment methods do you accept?
Typical and popular payment method such as Paypal, Credit Cards, Debit cards are accepted by us.
2. Do you accept bank transfers?
We do not accept bank transfers. However we do accept all popular payment methods normally used in online shopping.
1. To where do you ship? How long does it take you to process an order before it is dispatched?
We ship to most parts of India. We also have been shipping to many international destinations too. Please send us a message for specific international shipping.
2. Where are your packages shipped from?
We make most of our products at our own location in Tura, in the state of Meghalaya in India.
3. Do you ship packages internationally?
Yes we do. We normally use India Post for shipping parcels internationally.
4. What does “In-transit” mean for in shipping?
“In-transit” means that we have dispatched the goods and that they are travelling to the destination.
5. What if the tracking looks outdated, delayed or not found?
In case of international shipping, such things do happen and are normal due to changing of hands at various points such as the courier to customs, customs to courier and local to international couriers. We request you to be patient.
1. Do you accept returns/exchanges over and above what customers are entitled to by law (i.e., a replacement/repair for a minor fault or refund for a major fault)?
We do accept refunds and return requests. Please read our refund policy given in separate refund policy page.
2. Do you allow refunds for a change of mind? If so, how long do customers have to contact you
We always try to help you with purchases. In case we have not shipped the product, we are glad to cancel the order and refund the full amount to you. However in case the order has been shipped, we would request to communicate your wish for refund within 7 days of receiving the order. However, the policy may vary with different type of products.
